misc. plants in Fukuoka, Japan

Little plants growing on the bark of a tree at the Gokoku Shrine.Growing on a fence around the Kinen Tower of the Fukuoka Castle.A sideways tree at the Fukuoa Castle.A wooden fence at 'the site of the retreat of Josui Kuroda' which is now a peony garden (unfortunately it was too early in the year for me to actually see any of the flowers in the garden, which was huge).

flower tree

This tree was covered in flowers. I loved it. I'm still not sure exactly what kind of tree it is (I haven't actually looked it up).[pictures taken spring 2004, Kyeonggi Province, South Korea]
